The role of stress within our African American community has continued to escalate. According to the National Institute of Health, on a global measure combing exposure to stressors in five domains (occupation, finances, relationships, racial bias, and violence), along with Hispanic and Asians reported higher levels of stress than Caucasians. Plus too many African American people are dying from heart attacks, strokes and mysteriously, also due to poor health, mental illness and the effects of large consumptions junk food. Meditation and Conscious Breathing are simple techniques that are scientifically proven, personally have help me, clients and so many others release the pressures, tension and toxins from our mind and body, consistently! So I am going to say it loud: I am African American and I love to meditate and breath myself into a calm state of mind, constantly because stress/anxiety is all around us. This why I am so proud to share these article with you! My clients are experiencing levels of inner calmness and super excited to spend time meditating on being calm, instead of thoughts and feelings that add to the inner conflicts. According to the National Institute of Health, meditation is a tactic that promotes relaxation and builds positive internal energy. Meditation actually helps develop and increase levels of love, compassion, patience, generosity and forgiveness. This relaxation practice teaches individuals how to have complete control over their mind and body through internal exploration and breathing. Meditation is literally about finding a quiet place learning to just focus you attention on things that help release thoughts and images that don't serve your overall well-being! Sounds challenging, I know. But focusing on your breath, is a great part of meditating. Since you haven’t experienced the healing benefits of practicing meditation, I would like to invite into a new space with me. This article was good, I use to meditate but I need much practice because my mind goes all over the place.
